Karfi — overview

Karfi — Nails at Your Door.

Karfi is an on-demand beauty service platform connecting clients with professional nail technicians who come directly to them. As the product designer on the project, I was responsible for the full design scope — from brand identity and UX research through to the final web and app experience.

Built in close collaboration with a developer, Karfi went from concept to a fully functional product ready for the market.

  • App Design
  • Brand Identity
  • UX Research

Getting to know the two sides of the product.

Karfi serves two distinct users — the client looking for a convenient, trustworthy beauty service, and the nail professional seeking a platform to grow their clientele. We built detailed user personas for both, mapping demographics, behaviors, pain points, and goals.

Understanding both sides was essential to designing a product that works for everyone in the equation.

Karfi — interviews and use cases

Real people. Real services. Real data.

To gather honest, grounded insights, we recruited people already on the team and had them book and experience Karfi's service firsthand. This gave us direct access to real user behavior — not assumptions.

The interviews uncovered friction points, expectations, and moments of delight that shaped the product's core flows and informed every major design decision that followed.

From rough sketches to a refined handoff.

The design process started with low-fidelity wireframes — fast, disposable, and focused on structure over aesthetics. This allowed us to validate flows and layouts early, before committing to any visual direction.

From those rough frames, we iterated through progressively higher fidelity until the designs were tight, tested, and ready for development handoff.

Karfi — web and app final

The full product — designed to work beautifully on every screen.

The final deliverable was a complete digital ecosystem: a marketing and booking web platform, and a native app for both iOS and Android. The web experience was built to attract and convert new clients, while the app focused on the end-to-end service flow — booking, tracking, and managing appointments with ease.

Every screen was designed with the same principle: beauty services should feel as polished as the service itself.
